The luxury expedition vessel Scenic Eclipse is currently in drydock in Galveston, Texas, for the replacement of an inoperable Azipod propulsion unit. The new unit is being delivered via a specially chartered Antonov 124 aircraft, one of the world’s largest cargo planes. Scenic Cruises is collaborating with ABB Group to complete the installation and testing promptly, aiming to resume operations for the upcoming Antarctic season starting November 27, 2024.
